Finding Work At Home - Part 8: SimplyHired

You may have noticed our new work-at-home job search page powered by SimplyHired. As much as we liked Indeed.com we just weren’t able to make their search scripts work and look right here, to make it easy for you to find work at home jobs. But SimplyHired and their Job-A-Matic search seems to be almost perfect.

So who is SimplyHired?

SimplyHired launched as a vertical search engine for jobs in 2005, and today have over 5 million positions open including about a million work from home jobs, believe it or not. SimplyHired is not the largest job search engine in the world.

What’s the best way to search for home-based projects on SimplyHired? Well, we’ve already done the work for you, for the most part. Go to our work-at-home job search page powered by SimplyHired and you’ll find jobs listed that include the terms telecommuting, work at home, home-based and work from home. Best of all, we’ve NOT included a bunch of not-so-hot jobs and companies that snuck in under the wire or simply muddy the water, to mix metaphors.

Why We Like SimplyHired

You may disagree with with our search strategy, and that’s fine because you can create you own. The SimplyHired search engine supports booleans (AND, OR, NOT), and there’s even “Working Mother” filter that offers jobs with more flexible and part time schedules. See why we like them?

Another reason we’ve teamed up with SimplyHired is because they also have user-friendly features such as email alerts, and because they try to make the (usually boring) job search process more fun!

But beyond that ‘nice’ stuff, the real meat is that SimplyHired pulls jobs from thousands of sources including all of the major job boards (CB, HJ, Monster, etc). In fact they’re so well respected they power job sites on LinkedIn, MySpace, Vault.com, Topix, and CNet TechRepublic, etc.

So if you’re here because you’re looking for a home-based job give SimplyHired work-from-home job search page a try. We think you’ll be glad you did. And if you aren’t, we want to know why!
