In answer to your question, the Telework Savings Calculator does not yet subtract out the people who use mass transit. That currently accounts for about 5% of the population. NY is an exception to taxing. I know because i used to work in Jersey and commute into NY and had to pay 3 taxes... Jersey, NY State, and NY City.
